“ I was craving pupusas. I had never been to San Rafael and was lucky enough to be working here. I found good reviews at this restaurant. It is right in the downtown area. It's an open concept restaurant. You must order at the register and then can sit anywhere. They had good reggaeton music playing. I ordered 3 pupusas and a side order of chicharron. There pupusas are freshly made. When I received them they looked delicious and are a pretty good size. I ordered two revueltas made out of rice dough and one bean and cheese out of corn dough (masa). They were so yummy. The beans were lacking a little flavor but yet were so good. I wish I could have been served more curtido...as you can see the curtido I got was enough for just one pupusa. lol. The side of chicharron was ok. My only complain is: San Rafael is going through a heat wave...if you're used to eating in a cool comfortable place this is not your spot. They have no fans and no ac. I was getting dizzy as it was super hot inside. I wanted to work on some homework while I was there but couldn't concentrate due to how hot it was. I ate and left. I will be back again whenever in town for work but I'll do a to go order unless it's cooler than today. ”

However, we ordered " Camarones en Crema o Al Mojo de Ajo / Shrimp On Cream or Garlic Style" and " Pollo Encebollado / Chicken with Onions" - Just delicious! Family friendly, good ambience and friendly staff! ”

“ Quite an experience! I have never had traditional Pupusas before, so this was definitely a treat. I went ahead and ordered three Pupusas, (a cheese, a revuelta & a bean with cheese.) I also went ahead and ordered their version of an Horchata. Since I went with my boyfriend and our friend, we shared in order of the Yucca fries & empanadas de plátano. Can I just say, that these are the best Pupusas I've ever had. I've never experienced such a traditional, rich pupusa before. The yucca fries were interesting, as they were less tastier than a regular potato fry. And las empanadas de plátano, were just iconic. My boyfriend went ahead and ordered them with a black been filling, and they were delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and service was fast. Oh, and the Horchata was definitely far from our traditional Mexican Horchata. It was very naughty, but quite delicious as well. This location, it's such a hole in the wall, that needs to be visited more often by locals & others that are visiting. This establishment makes me feel like I am eating at someone's grandma's house. Super cozy and welcoming. ”
